Laser treatment can restore collagen to produce younger looking skin.

Broadband Light

The one thing that is as constant as time is the fact that our skin will change as we age. Wrinkles, spots, and other blemishes can make anyone want to reverse time. Broadband Light (BBL) technology, also known as Photo Rejuvenation, sets a new standard for the treatment of skin conditions associated with aging, active lifestyles, and sun damage.

How it Works

BBL treatments harness the same rays that are present in sunlight, ultraviolet rays, at a lower level. Through a broadband focus, the energy and heat from the beam eliminate excessive pigmentation, redness, and unsightly capillaries visible through the skin, while also stimulating the underlying collagen to increase production of new skin cells. As a result, not only are the freckles, blemishes, and discolorations of the skin wiped clear, but the overall skin tone and health is improved through the production of fresh skin. You are left with skin that looks years younger and healthier.

True MD uses the Sciton BBL device exclusively because it is the safest on the market. Its versatile hand-piece enables us to treat any area of the skin that has been damaged, including shoulders, arms, neck, chest, and back. Treatment time varies depending on area, but to give you an idea—a full BBL treatment of the face takes approximately 30 minutes.

Though one BBL treatment gives long-lasting effects, a series of treatments (four-to-six) within two-to-three week intervals are recommended for optimal results, especially for more pronounced skin damage. To enhance the results even further, BBL can be supplemented with chemical peels, microdermabrasion, fractional lasers, and/or SkinTyte. Talk to your True MD aesthetic physicians about your options and the potential benefits of these different procedures.
